Nepal is one of the poorest countries in the world and their public health system is not equipped to deal with this pandemic. Remote, rural hospitals in the Solukhumbu District, also known as the Everest region, have very limited access to personal protective equipment (PPE). Doctors and nurses are fearing for their own lives because they don’t have the PPE they need to protect themselves.
