Climb it, bike it, run it, hike it – it’s up to you!

You can run, walk, bike or do a combination of activities to ascend 8848m, the height of Mt Everest, during your Summit Challenge. You can climb as an individual, or get together with friends, family, classmates or tramping club to reach the summit as a team. Or you could swim 8848m or do 8848 push ups!

How quickly you complete the challenge is up to you. Go hard out and climb 8848m in one weekend, or spread the challenge over the whole month.

Iyou’re not quite ready for Everest this year, you can climb to the elevation of Everest Basecamp (5364m) or the summit of Aoraki Mt Cook (3724m).

And if outdoor action isn’t your thing, you can get creative. Climb your own virtual Everest in a way that challenges you and inspires your friends and family to make a donation

The Summit Challenge is a chance to follow in Sir Ed’s footsteps, challenge yourself, help others, and having fun doing it.
