Trek to Everest Base Camp    

The Himalayan Trust and Kathmandu Summit Club invite you to join our once-in-a-lifetime trek to reach Everest Base Camp. 

This 18-day trek (22 Apr 2021 – 9 May 2021) will be a unique opportunity to experience the stunning scenery and warm hospitality of the Solukhumbu and to visit and be part of a Himalayan Trust project.

This trek is all about community, spirit, life and the beautiful sights of the Himalaya. This special itinerary is also about remembering Sir Ed’s legacy in Nepal and continuing the work that he started.

• Trek to Everest Base Camp and climb Kala Pattar for spectacular views of Everest and the surrounding peaks.
• Go off the beaten track and immerse yourself in local life as meet and spend time with local communities.
• Visit Khumjung School, built by Sir Ed in 1961 – his very first aid project in Nepal.
• Enjoy a very special dinner with staff from Khunde hospital, the first hospital built by Sir Ed in 1966.
• Explore bustling Namche Bazaar and visit Thyangboche Monastery.
• Soak up the legendary warmth of the Sherpa people, which drew Sir Ed back to this region time after time.
• You’ll be supporting the Himalayan Trust’s life-changing work with the communities of the Solukhumbu by raising or donating $1000. We’ll provide you with all the support you need to make your fundraising fun and simple.
