Donate today and transform lives

Nepal is one of the poorest countries in the world. Over 50% of the country live on $3 a day or less. We know that it’s the most vulnerable – children – who suffer the most. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

Your gift today will transform lives and help continue Sir Ed’s life-changing work in the Everest region.

You will help break the cycle of poverty by improving access to quality education, clean water and life-saving healthcare.

Volunteering

Over the years, the Himalayan Trust sent many volunteer doctors and teachers to the Everest region. Those volunteers made an incredible contribution to communities in Nepal. However, we do not currently run any volunteer programmes in Nepal. Wherever possible, we use the skills, experience and talent of local people in the communities.

If you have teaching expertise we can pass on your details to REED, who we work closely with, otherwise we recommend you get in touch with the many worthwhile volunteer organisations out there such as Volunteer Service Abroad.
