Our members come from all across New Zealand and bring a wide variety of skills and experience to the Himalayan Trust. What  they all share in common is a passion for helping the people of Nepal.

By becoming a member of the Himalayan Trust, you can help realise our vision of empowered and sustainable communities in the Everest region of Nepal.

Why become a member?

As a member of the Himalayan Trust, you can make a significant contribution to our work by:

• helping to engage and educate the New Zealand public about the work of the Himalayan Trust;
• supporting and initiating fundraising initiatives for the Himalayan Trust;
• influencing the strategic direction of the Himalayan Trust through the Board of Trustees;
• sharing skills, knowledge and expertise with Himalayan Trust staff and Board members.

Membership benefits

All our supporters receive regular updates on the work of the Himalayan Trust through our e-newsletter, website and Facebook page.

Members also receive the following additional benefits:

• networking opportunities in New Zealand with members, staff and the Board, and Himalayan Trust partners from Nepal; 
• an invitation to attend the Annual General Meeting;
• the opportunity to influence the strategic direction of the Trust by standing and voting for the Board of Trustees;
• regular membership news and updates from the Board.

Who can become a member?

Membership of the Himalayan Trust is open to anyone in New Zealand who:

• has a keen interest in our work;
• is committed to helping promote and support our work in New Zealand and Nepal;
• has some knowledge, experience or skills that can contribute to our work.

Membership fee

The annual membership fee is $46 (including GST).

Complete our online application form below to become a member.

All new applications must be approved by the Board of Trustees. Your application will be sent to the Chair of the Board for approval at the next Board Meeting. Please allow up to three months for confirmation of your membership.

The Board can only consider New Zealand-based applicants.
