Khumbu Pasang Lhamu RM Chairman, Nim Dorje Sherpa, dies of cancer

We were saddened to hear of Nim Dorje Sherpa’s passing earlier this month at age 39 after a 10-month battle with intestinal cancer.

Nim Dorje was the Chairman of Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality and is survived by his wife Bandi and three sons. He will be fondly remembered for his tireless work to improve health and education and to protect the mountain environment in the Solukhumbu District.
